2010 is not a year on which I shall look back with undiluted pleasure. In the words of one of my more sympathetic correspondents, it has turned out to be an Annus Horribilis.

I was asked to leave Barneys New York in SF today

Despite the fact that I'm on the straight and narrow these days I was asked to leave Barneys because I was using my iPhone to take photos to post to India, where my wife waits patiently for me to get a goddam job. I have to admit I got a bit peeved being as how I used to shoot dope in their LA store with their blessing.
"Do you know who I am?" I asked.
"Not here" she said.
